Martin Götz studied medicine at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität
Heidelberg and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. After
working at the Klinikum Großhadern, he has been further educated
as an internist and gastroenterologist since 2000 at the Mainz
University Medical Center. In Mainz the habilitation was carried out
by innovative endoscopic procedures. In 2012 Prof. Götz was

inflammatory bowel disease. Research priorities include
morphological, functional and molecular imaging of gastrointestinal
diseases, as well as the evaluation and transfer of new endoscopic
procedures to clinical care.
